We may want to have a checklist for various wind conditions, and put "main sheet at 4:1" under the breezy category. Bill and I discussed the importance of getting the trimmer to the rail, even if it means cleating the jib. We both felt like we were messing with sheets and the traveler more than we should have. The weight on the rail would have solved many issues. It would have been nice to have more advantage on the main sheet but I was able to manage at 3:1.
